Virus protection: no more infected mails
Information
exigo is using secure virus filters from the company postini. If the virus protection is activated, which is the default setting, all incoming e-mails and their attachments are scanned for known virus signatures (virus, worms, Trojan horses etc.). The virus identification database is updated several times a day to give you the highest possible level of security.
How to activate the virus protection
The virus protection is activated by default. You can deactivate or reactivate the virus protection anytime in the mailadmin.
Quarantine
Infected e-mails are stored in the quarantine folder, which can be viewed at any time by accessing mailadmin. You cannot forward virus-infected e-mails from the quarantine folder. Please contact our Hotline, if you need to send an infected e-mail.
White list and black list
The white list in the spam filter will not be virus-checked. Thus, the e-mails from senders, who are registered on the white list, are scanned for viruses and in case of virus detection they are displayed in the quarantine folder despite their registration on the white list.
Daily overview e-mail
The product e-mail highscan gives you the possibility to get a daily mail with the latest information on viruses.
